Sunday, June 23 was International Women in Engineering Day, which aims to raise the profile of women in engineering and highlight career opportunities for women in the industry. Here at Thermo King and Ingersoll Rand, we have a longstanding commitment to building a progressive, diverse and inclusive environment where people of all backgrounds and genders are treated with respect.
“Diversity is highly valued on the Thermo King Engineering team. Not
only does diversity improve effectiveness and productivity, it drives
creativity and new insights. We also observe higher satisfaction in
our work when our teams are more diverse," said George
Wan, vice president of Engineering and Technology for Transport
Solutions North America and EMEA. "International Women in
Engineering Day is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity on our
team – and build upon the work we are doing to remove barriers and
increase access to engineering careers, like the local expansion of
the ReLaunch program that was recently announced.”
In honor of International Women in Engineering Day, we are spotlighting some of our own female engineers within Transport Solutions North America and EMEA. Click through the profiles below to learn more about these three women and their engineering careers!
