Thermo King Dynamic Innovation Showcase a Success!
A cross-functional Thermo King team worked extremely hard to make a Dynamic Innovation Showcase event a reality for our dealer network in August, and it was a HUGE success. The event, which was held at Thermo King’s Bloomington headquarters, was educational, collaborative, and inspiring as it gave the more than 60 dealer partners in attendance a deeper dive into the industry-changing innovations and investments that are shaping the future of our business.
“The showcase was extremely beneficial, providing a clear idea of where we are as a collective Thermo King team and where we are headed,” said Bob Price, president of Thermo King Pittsburgh. “Seeing the innovations up close, reviewing the technology and features, and discussing the value propositions with all the folks behind the scenes who are bringing these products to life was invaluable. It helps us to take the technology and message to our customers with confidence.”
Dealers came from across the Americas for the two-day event to see both newly-released and soon-to-be released technologies – most of which are part of Thermo King’s commitment to delivering all-electric, zero-emission solutions to every segment of the cold chain by 2023 and help customers reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1 billion metric tons by 2030.
One product on display was the evolve™ electric demonstration trailer, which has been making its rounds with customers such as Walmart, Loblaws and Martin Brower to test its capabilities and garner data that is bringing us closer to a commercialized all-electric trailer product. In addition, dealers saw the inner workings of the Air Purification Solution for bus HVAC that is helping transit authorities gain back ridership that was lost during the pandemic.
“We were thrilled to offer this event for our dealer partners so that they could getter a deeper dive into the technology, the road ahead and our capabilities. More valuable was the ability to really connect with the talent behind the innovation, as well as the corporate support teams who partner with them each day,” said Chris Tanaka, vice president Product Management, Thermo King Americas.
The event was made possible by teamwork from Thermo King’s dealer development, product management, engineering, technical services, facilities, general management, customer service, technical training and publications, aftermarket, marketing, communications, administrative, and leadership teams.
