The Tomah, Wisconsin service facility opened in 2017 brings the number of brick and mortar locations under the Transport Refrigeration dealership umbrella to five.

“We were supporting the western portion of the state for many years with mobile service or from our Plover, Wisconsin location, which is two hours away,” said Mike Mirro, vice president, Operations. “As customers’ needs rose, it made sense to have a physical location with full-time technicians available.”

Finding the right facility proved to be a bit more challenging but the dealership found its home in a perfect location off of Highway 94 close to a major truck stop and a Walmart distribution center.

“Tomah is near LaCrosse and about halfway between Minneapolis and Madison, Wisconsin. It’s a major truck route for our customers and our location is very convenient for customers in need of service or parts,” said Mike.

Transport Refrigeration renovated an existing two-bay facility, updating it to meet their needs. This included new heaters, lighting, ventilation system, air compressor and overhead doors; construction of a parts area with mezzanine, service office and counter, and customer waiting area; and a full refresh both inside and out with new paint and signage.

Three full time technicians are on staff and a parts/service writer is being hired.

“We’re excited to have a permanent, physical location in Tomah now as it allows us to better service customers through-out the area,” said Mike.
