Thermo King Hires APU Manager
(Minneapolis - June 29, 2007) - Tom Kampf has been named APU product manager for Thermo King Corporation, responsible for the development, marketing and sales of the company's TriPac® hybrid auxiliary idle reduction and temperature management systems.
Kampf comes to Thermo King after 18 years with ADC Telecommunications, a Minneapolis-based manufacturer of telecommunications equipment. While at ADC, Kampf held various positions with increasing responsibilities in management. Most recently, he was vice president of ADC's product management, where he developed and initiated strategy to sustain ADC as the leading global supplier of passive networking equipment within emerging markets.
Kampf earned his M.B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, and a B.S. degree in marketing management from Minnesota State University - Mankato.
Thermo King Corporation, a business unit of diversified industrial firm Ingersoll Rand Company Limited, was founded in 1938 and manufactures transport temperature control systems for a variety of mobile applications, including trailers, truck bodies, buses, shipboard containers and railway cars. The company operates 10 manufacturing facilities and 17 parts distribution centers worldwide. Sales and service is provided by a global dealer network of 865 independently owned companies in 75 countries.
